Back in the day. Way way back in the day, Aaron and I would play some Halo losers and annihilate them. The reason that this came so easy to us is because we perfected certain techniques that baffled our Halo prey. With some easy tips and a LOT of practice, you can slay your victims like Aaron and I did with ease.
Step 1: Keep Calm- Keeping calm is a patience that even the best Halo players need. With a peaceful mind, you can easily focus. With an angry head, it becomes harder to focus and you will progressively do worse.
Step 2: DMR! DMR! DMR!-If this is not the best weapon in the game (Besides my trusty sniper and sword) then I don't know what is! Make sure you pace your shots, and maintain accuracy. 4 quick shots to the body and 1 calm shot to the head can make a big difference in your K/D Ration. Just look at Aaron's K/D. (+12,000) You don't get that by AR spamming. (If you don't know what an AR is then please go back to Campaign.)
Step 3: Strafing- Strafing is key to making those five shot headshots without taking a hit. Let's just face it. Most people on Halo are idiots. They don't know what strafing is. Simply move your character back and forth as you shoot at them. It takes practice to get into the habit, but with practice, it could save your little Spartan's life.
Step 4: Know Your Maps- Before a game starts, you should already know what weapon you are going to get. A power weapon can make or break your game. It can turn a loosing game of 45-24 to winning 50-49. (This happened to me last night after I picked up a sword and sniper on Asylum.) It's good to know where your enemies spawn and where your favorite weapon spawns. Please: Always go get the weapon you are best with. (If you would like to know enemy and weapon spawns message: SoGhetto SoFly on XBL)
Step 5: Counter-Measures- Be sure you know how to counter any player that comes your way. Players will camp, armor-lock, hide, grenade spam. You name it, they got it. Make sure you know how to counter your foes in the best way possible.
If you practice these 5 simple steps, you can become better in Halo in no time. If you want a more advanced method of training, you can message SoGhetto SoFly on XBL, and I can set you up with more advanced techniques.
I just gave you the training manual to become better at the game. See you on the field Spartan.

Hey guys this was a beautiful list of tips but I would like to elaborate on a few things here. Step 1: Through your playing you will come across many so to say ***holes who will try to get in your head by cursing, mocking, and trolling. (Note: These are bad do not do them! Polite trolling not so bad.)But don't let them get to you instead counter this by laughing at everything they say or call you. It will make them angry it will make them play worse and cloud their judgment. Step 2: spot on!! but ill add this here CROUCHING is VERY IMPORTANT both for moving undetected and fighting. You can add them into strafes as your skill rises, if your at a long distance you can crouch to increase your accuracy and gain the upper hand and there is crouch jumping or ". Gandhi hopping." Step 3: strafing does not have to just be left right left right don't get to repetitive a moderately skilled player can read your movements(to be discussed later) throw in random zig zags or even charge right at them you may end up throwing their aim and winning the fight YAY! But b,e careful don't over make it too complicated or you may miss your shot or even be aimed away from your target. Zzz... Step 4 sleeps well knowing the quickest routes to its favorite weapons and its enemies general locations.... But while step 4 slept there was trouble brewing at step 5! Step 5: This is arguably the most important step while everything mentioned here is valuable knowledge I'm going to add something that most halo players overlook. It's called FIGHT OR FLIGHT yes that's right and its here to save your life. Some of you know but for those who don't (Fight or Flight is a primal instinct that tells you when to run away) For example when a hunter shoots a deer if they miss or minor injure the animal it flees because it knows its in danger this instinct is also tied to humans like if that same hunters gunshot attracts a bear he will be tempted to run I'm not saying run from a bear it won't work! But this also applies to halo. How? As I mentioned before some enemies will study your movements and learn how you play. Well now its your turn! Almost every player on halo is a player of habit they strafe the same, grab the same weapons or armor abilities, even take the same paths across maps as you watch and study them they become more and more predictable as you get better at it you'll learn anyone's movements and play style easier and learn what not to do. This is where FOF ties in as you start to study you will notice whom you can or can not kill depending on skill, weapons, whatever the reason these people you will tend to want to stay away from so you run but if you see some guy spamming his AR at a wall your going to want to take your trusty dmr and put multiple shots into him before he notices where you are. Easy win yea? Or let's say you turn the corner and see two enemies looking away from you your not likely going to try to kill them but if you do use a grenade. This was not mentioned here so I think ill add it Halo is a game where you need to rely on other people yes some people lone wolf but nothing but a better team can beat a team who is communicating clearly and quickly let your team know if you see an enemy you can't get or where you died and how many were there good communication could save your life or even your teams life! Darn that invis shotgun toting jerk!

All of your tips are both adorable and accurate. However; there are higher levels of learning.
Once you have MASTERED the tips above you need to learn these methods:
1. Counter strafing: Watch your enemy as they strafe and try to get out of their 180 degree aim, while maintaining your steady aim. SoGhetto says 4 body shots one headshot....I say GO FOR 5 CONSECUTIVE HEAD-SHOTS!
2. Ninjas (correctly): When someone bum rushes you with an AR or something of that manner. Just jump over their head (and with a 10 look sensitivity on) do a 180 degree spin, look down and hold (B.) WHAMITE TO THE BLAMITE an instant 180 ninja.
3. Counter Ninja's: If someone is performing the method stated in #2 and you are about to be on the receiving end of the ninja, BACK UP, Look up, and hold B; Instant Counter Ninja. (Countering the counters works too, so on and so forth)
4. Resourcefulness: Learn how to kill ANYONE WITH ANYTHING! Example: I know how to use a plasma pistol JUST LIKE a shotgun. (4 body shots followed by a pummel is an instant kill.)
5. Countering noobs that bum rush weapon spawns. Do as my friend Raven does; be patient. what you want to do is toss a grenade on the weapon spawn followed by a barrage of a DMR or AR. It works.
6. In objective game types, go for kills, THEN go for the Objective: It is a helpful hint to wipe out the enemy and only look at the objective as merely a side dish to your meal of spartan victims.
7. Out maneuver and out strategize your opponents: Like Chess, Halo is full of strategy, not only killing. Most people in chess bum rush and go for the harder targets. This is not always the smart thing to do. Sometimes it's better to take the high road and take your time. When someone is chasing you, learn how to mind-screw them and evade their attack. (Through use of MLG jumps and tactics.)
8. A good defense IS a great offense: When you are pitted up against bum rushers, learn how to control the map defensively. Sit back, relax, and let them come to you.
9. Learn HLG tips: There are many hiding spots on each map that will have your enemies confused and frustrated. When mastered; you can use these hiding spots to kill your enemy like an assassin. You can also use these spots to pull of a win in a tied game at the last second.
10. Spawn-trapping: This is a method that is by far the best method I have seen. When people know how to spawn trap effectively, there is almost NO getting away from it. When you control the map offensively, you have a great advantage. Like chess and MLG, set up your team in certain specified locations with certain weapons. (Mainly one or two of each type should do it.) Then, spawn kill like to tomorrow.
11. Learn how to NO SCOPE: When you see ANYTHING that moves, and you don't have time to zoom in, just SLOW your aiming, take a deep breath and pull the trigger (even when taking fire, it is effective.) I have mastered this technique so much that I can use the sniper like a shotgun and even a 1 shot DMR. Try it.
12. "Slowing down time": (Note: This is only for the most experienced Halo players, such as prodigies and proffesionals): This trick relates to your focus, it also helps to be closer to the TV when performing this move. It is almost just like the no scope trick, but it lasts for minutes at a time. When in pitched combat, you stop thinking, and just shoot. Focus as much as possible, but in a second nature. Plan what the enemy will do before they do it. It takes slow breathing and a mastery of a clear and steady mind. The number one thing is Focusing on prediction. (To see this trick being performed: Go to my fileshare and look up the film Enter Incarnate. It Took less than 40 seconds but it felt like 5 minutes.)
